Course Description
The "Danish Maritime Legislation (DML)” course for foreign Senior Officers on Danish Flag Merchant ships covers the understanding of the relevant Danish Maritime Legislation necessary for the performance of their duties.
Course Objectives:
- Locate the Legislations from the DMA website
- Recognise the salient points of the Danish Maritime Legislation on:
- Safety at Sea
- Seafarers condition of Employment
- Merchant Shipping Act
- Manning of ships
- Gender equality
Note: The duration of the DML course for Senior Officers shall be for 1 day if this course is combined with the 2.5 days duration DMA Occupational Health (§ 16) course.
