Course Description

This training course is split up in 3 levels as follows:
Level 1 - For Deck Ratings
Level 2 - For all Operational Level & Management level Deck Officers(3/0, 2/O, C/O & Master)
Level 3 - For Management level Deck Officers (C/O & Master)

These courses are designed to cover all the competencies related to the construction, operation, inspection and maintenance (including dry dock repairs) of the hatch cover and its components. It covers the training requirements specified in Rightship RISQ questionnaire.
The faculties involved in this course were trained by Mr.Walter Vervloesem (hatch cover expert) of IMCS Training Academy. The instructions from Maker’s manuals are inserted in the training for better understanding by candidates

To provide trainees with the knowledge and guidance on the operation, construction and maintenance of hatch covers and its components.
