Tanker Firefighting Course [UK MCA]

Entry Criteria:     STCW Basic Safety training for Fire Prevention and Fire-fighting (FPFF) from any administration

Course Duration:     1 Day



Course Description

Seafarers prior to working on tankers need to be duly qualified under Section A - V/1-1-1 & A - V/1-2-1 of the STCW code. The coverage of the course is wide in scope and includes fire safety measures and systems.


In addition, the course covers the aspects on board fire safety by including a section on procedures in fire situations on board Oil/ Chemical / Gas tankers.


On successful completion of this course the seafarer is eligible for a UK- MCA certificate of Training in "Tanker Fire Fighting (Oil, Chemical and Liquefied gas)".








Please find below the list of documents required to get on the first day of the classroom course.

  1. 2 passport size photographs
  2. Copies of Passport, CDC, COC, FPFF (any Administration Approved)
